The Wild Soccer Bunch

The Wild Soccer Bunch was created by Joachim Masannek who coached his two sons’ soccer teams and was inspired to write a book about his experience. His storytelling is fast paced and cinematic, and the stories are told from a child’s point of view, as if the writer’s voice morphed into the hero’s in each book.

The series contains 14 books, and each book is narrated by another kid on the Wild Soccer Bunch team. The sensational international success of the books has translated into a full-fledged brand. Masanneks’ simple yet unique writing style has captured the imagination of kids in 32 countries.

Wild Soccer USA owns the English rights to the Wild Soccer Bunch brand. In addition to the books, the brand includes five full length live action films, an animated series, and many merchandising items. The Wild Soccer Bunch started in Germany in 2001 with the publication of the first book in the series. In the North America the brand was launched in May 2010 prior the the World Cup.

Sole Books works closely with Wild Soccer USA which owns the brand’s rights in North America, UK, Australia, NZ and South Africa.
Wild Soccer USA has TV and Film rights in English as well as merchandising and licensing rights.
